Do certain sex positions improve my chances of conception?
A popular belief is that the missionary position (man on top) helps in conception.
If you have a tipped uterus, it may be better to have intercourse from behind in the hands and knees position. This position will allow the sperm to have better access to your cervix.
There is however no real evidence to back this up that positions have a real effect. It is more important to have sex one or two days before you expect to ovulate and again on the day of your ovulation. Find out your next ovulation date from our ovulation calculator.
Does an orgasm improve my chances of conception?
There is no strong evidence indicating that this makes any difference.
Should I stay lying down afterward?
After intercourse you may try placing a small pillow below your hips for the the semen to puddle in the cervix for about 20 minutes. This will allow the sperm to swim up through the cervix. Be careful to use a small pillow as a large one could sabotage your efforts, resulting in the sperm collecting behind the cervix rather then in it.
If you have been trying for a long time ie 3-6 months or are above the age of 35, then it is best to visit a fertility specialist.

Salam, I have trying to get pregnant since last eight years but badly failed, I tried IUI thrice from Dr. Saad Rana that failed, tried Dr. Abeera Choudary at MH , gone through tubes test etc, but no success.
mostreceny I went under treatment by Dr. Hussain, who claims an American technology method with 100% success we spent Rs. 150,000 for just medicines but again failed. this Dr. took the money upfront with the guarantee of success but since then he has just been avoiding us and whenever we go to the hospital, he is not available. so I would advice all desperate couples not to be deceived by this Doctor.

yes naseem ashraf is good but still there is also no chance 100 % for pragneny but good from other drs .i also visited dr hussain once but i found him faque i didnt like his method only injection to my husband taht i dont like .i also advice not to visit dr hussain in islamabad

salam dr i got ur id from pragnency.com.pk where u mention ur id .i want to ask one question please help me what should i do. i got married from 3 years but i never conceive . my problem is follicle size its about .8cm in only left side in right its much shorter. my husband is 100% good .now i am doing iui from dr naseem islamabad now u suggest iui is good or ivf is better in this situation .and i m also having very very low bleeding only for 2 or 3 days.not blood infact clots.please help me whther ivf or iui will help me in conception. i will be very great ful.

The only problem i can see in you is hormonal imbalance due to which you are not ovulating well and your periods are irregular. Have you gone through 3 months ovulation induction treatment? You don’t need IUI or IVF until your husband have any problem. Nowadays ICSI is the most successful process but you should look for a good doctor . My friend gone through it after 5 yrs of her wedding and it was successful. She went to Dr.Setna in Karachi who is believed to be one of the best infertility specialists in Pakistan.

hi dr,
i have endometriosis for the last many years. now i got marriage 8 months b4. bt no conception.now dr suggested me to go for drainage and laproscopy first, then he said to go for icsi.for drain he ll take 26 thousand and for icsi he ll take 3 lac.now im confused. as i have read on net that in first 3 years there is 70% chance to conceive. bt i dont want to waist time also. what i shd do now? shud i go for icsi directly. as it also has 50% chance. kindly suggest me .
